The Forebay Peloton Workout, August 1, 2024

It's a peloton style workout - we run in small, similarly paced groups in a line. The person at the back picks the pace up and runs to the front of the line where they drop in and ease off a touch. The next person at the back then runs to the front. On and on - you get the gist.

Dirtbags! It's my favourite day tomorrow, and I have a fun workout in store for you!

Meet 6PM at the Nordic Centre - usual spot in the dirt lot on the left. The workout will be a flat and 'moderately' paced one on the forebay, but it's continuous, without breaks, so definitely challenges the endurance.

We've done this a few times before and it's always well received.

It's a peloton style workout - we run in small, similarly paced groups in a line. The person at the back picks the pace up and runs to the front of the line where they drop in and ease off a touch. The next person at the back then runs to the front. On and on - you get the gist.

We'll keep this one going for a full 45 mins after the warmup.

If the group you're in is too fast or too slow, don't worry, you can jump into a more appropriately paced group.

Typically we'll have 5 or 6 groups of 5 or 6 people.

Wear your Garmin, Suunto or Coros and you can keep the pace even.

It's going to be another warm one, so a post run dunk may be in order!

And of course, there's a spot over the road that serves cool beverages every Thursday 😁
