Winter Beer/Spirit Mile!!
Dirtbags!! This Thursday will be the 4th Annual Winter Beer/Spirit Mile!
Mike Norton and the Bill Warren Centre will be opening their doors for us. It's a special, One Night Only affair! Thanks for the support Mike!!
Unlike the Summer edition, the 'rules' are somewhat loose, and everyone is welcome to join, whether you are racing or not, but trust me racing this is a blast!
Think of it as a celebration of all the incredible running we've done this year, and a fun way to close out the year!
It's also an opportunity to thank Mike and the Bill Warren crew for their Thursday night support all summer.
So here's the scoop!
Most importantly dress festively!
Short shorts and Santa hats are strongly encouraged! As are bells, fairy lights etc!
Drinks can be anything of an alcoholic nature - beer, wine, spirits, all of the above! Your choice. It is encouraged to mix your spirits, Mike has it covered (see attached photo).
It's loosely "a Mile" ie more like 1.5 - 2 miles total, haha.
The racing starts with a drink, then a lap, then a drink etc. 4 drinks are consumed. Vomit and you're disqualified, and have to run a penalty loop.We will provide plastic shot glasses.
Drinking will be done on the deck at the Bill Warren. I will devise a loop similar to previous events here! We'll get in a couple of warm up loops before the race starts, so you'll know the way. You might want to GPS it for the final lap when you're 4 drinks deep.
The descent from the deck can be treacherous if icy, you have been warned!
There is only one event, and there is no prizing, but you will go down in history!
After the event, there will be a bar inside where you can warm up and bask in glory.
There may even be a shot ski or two.L

Meet up there 6PM Thursday. We'll be getting set up on the deck. I expect the racing will start some time around 6:30 - 6:45PM
