Message from Heather!

Hi Dirtbags - The bad news is, Andy is travelling with Saira and some of the others from our gang down to Moab to race in the first ever TransRockies "Run the Rocks" event, so Grant and I are going to team up and lead this week's Dirtbags workout on Thursday night. The good news is, we're not doing the Deadman's 1-mile hill repeats! 😅

Instead, let's meet at 6PM at the corner of Elk Run Blvd and Bow Meadows Crescent. We'll warm up by running over to Indian Flats Road (the access road to the Alpine Club of Canada). Most of you will know this workout... it's a nice combination of hill repeats and flats. We'll split up into two groups; one group will run 3-mins on the hills (steady 7/10 effort both up and down) while the other group will run 3-mins on the flats (similar hard effort). Reconvene and rest for 2 minutes, then switch up. We'll do five sets of each, which works out to be 30 minutes of effort. With the rest intervals and warm-up/cool-down, the whole workout should be just over an hour. Then we can go to Sheepdog for a well-earned après-run! 🍺
