The 50/40/30 workout. Thursday Feb 2, 2023
Dirtbags! It's almost Thursday again, my favorite night of the week!
Here's a workout I just came across that we last did in 2017!!
I'll call this one the "50/40/30 workout"
This workout features some short, high intensity reps, with minimal rest between each rep, but a good rest between the 3 sets.
Meet 6pm at the Rundle Boat Launch.
We'll do a warm up lap around the river trail to the bottom of the Rundle Power Plant steps.
The workout will be on the flat wide section out there.
From there it goes a bit like this!
1st set - 8 x 50/10 (50s hard, 10s rest)
5 mins easy jogging
2nd set - 8x 40/20 (40s hard, 20s rest)
5 mins easy jogging3rd set - 8 x 30/30 (30s hard, 30s rest)
Cool down jog back to car/pub.
Should be about an hour total, with some good quality speed work!
